Ettley's 12 months in Pictures:

Ettley is already 1 year old! Time has flown the second time around! When I was pregnant, one of the florists I follow on Instagram was posting these gorgeous flower numbers to document the months of her baby girl. I knew when I had a girl I was going to do the same thing! I am happy with how they are turning out. I have learned a lot about what flowers photograph better but it is getting harder especially now that Ettley is becoming mobile.

Sometimes she is not a fan

Ettley is 6 months:

Ettley is 1/2 a year old!! Where did my little baby go?! She is so happy and squirmy and we love every second with her. Here is what Ettley has been up to:

-She had her 6 month check up. She weighs 15 lbs 10.6 oz (40th percentile) and is 26.75 inches long (81st percentile). She weighs less than Adler did even with her chubby cheeks. 

-She is still spitting up which we are pretty sad about. It has slowed down but it had completely stopped with Adler at 6 months so we had high hopes.

-She is so squirmy. She wants to look at everything and would rather play on the floor with toys. She isn’t my snuggly baby anymore.

-She will pull the burp cloth off her face when you say “Where is Ettley”! 

-Everything goes right in her mouth no matter what it is so we have to watch her closely. She also watches us eat and if we are holding her she tries to get what we are putting in our mouth and put it in her own!

-She has tried apples and bananas and loves them both.

-When she is happy she babbles “dada” and when she is sad and crying she says “mama.” I don’t think she knew what she was saying at first but now I think she is starting to get that we are Mama and Dada and when she says that we come to her. I’m counting Mama as her first word.:) 

-She is still very obsessed with Adler. She loves to watch him and he is still the funniest person to her. She likes to see what he is doing and tries to join in. 

-She took her 3rd trip to upstate New York for my cousins wedding (1st was for our family reunion and the second was for Labor day at the lake)! She does pretty well in the car except when she can see us. Then she cries and wants to get out.

We love our Ettley girl and we love experiencing all her 1sts! She is growing up too fast but we are excited to have more adventures with her and watch her grow! Here are so cute pictures of her:

We all love Ettley 

Ettley is three months:

Our little girl is growing like crazy and we can’t keep up! I love experiencing the firsts all over with her and I have loved dressing her up and buying all things girly. She continues to melt our hearts. 

 - She is still sleeping through the night and her napping has gotten a little better! Sometimes we can even get a 2 hour nap out of her. 

• She LOVES to chew on her fists all the time. There isn’t really a time where her hands aren’t in her mouth. She still likes her binky but doesn’t take it all the time which makes me wonder if she will be a hand sucker.
• She has started reaching for toys and playing with them on her mamaroo and bouncy chair. She can even hold a few chew toys in her hands but she usually just ends up eating her hands and dropping her toys.
• When she is on her back she will rotate herself all over the floor. She is never in the same place I left her.
• She is my snuggliest baby and I LOVE it! Sometimes she will just lay on my shoulder or snuggle her face into me. She also likes it when we hold her hand while she tries to fall asleep. She still loves to sleep in my arms and I hope this snuggle phase lasts.
• At about 3 1/2 months she laughed! It was the cutest sound ever but she saves them. She will smile like crazy but getting a laugh is hard.
• We recently went on a Disney cruise with Dane’s family and unfortunately Ettley had to stay home because she wasn’t 6 months (a rule I didn’t know existed). I had pumped milk for her before I left but my mom also gave her formula. She is now the happiest baby. She was just hungry and wasn’t getting enough from me. 
• I have stopped breastfeeding Ettley. I am still pumping but I wasn’t making enough milk for her. My supply was decreasing before I left on my trip and so I decided that I would stop nursing her and just pump milk and mix it with formula. This decision has been super hard for me again especially because I really loved breastfeeding this time around but I hope that next baby I will be able to finally figure out this breastfeeding thing. Ettley is so much happier now and that’s all the matters. 
• On 8/27 she rolled from her stomach to her back! 

We love our Ettley girl and her cubby cheeks that she has now gotten from drinking bottles. Here are some cute pictures:
